We recommend you adhere to the policies from the Barbados Official Travel site, for all COVID-related information needed to enter the country:

Covid-19 Travel Guidelines

Please note this policy requires you to upload proof of vaccination beforehand, and we strongly urge you to bring a copy of your vaccination status.

COVID Guidance: Roundtables

Please note the governmental policy that masks are required to be worn in all indoor public places, including all events for this event. We recommend you bring your own mask; additionally, we'll provide masks to all participants. We also recommend the participants self-test before attending the Roundtables on the 15th, and to only attend with a negative test result. Rapid tests as well as masks will be provided from the organizers, and will be available upon check-in to the Hilton. If you are not staying at the Hilton and require rapid tests or masks, please contact the organizers ASAP to make special pickup arrangements (see their info below) – or use the “Contact” button on this site. If you feel ill at any point, we recommend taking another rapid test as soon as possible and removing oneself from crowded areas.

For questions or to schedule pick-up for rapid tests or masks:

Travel from the Airport to the Hilton

Most participants are staying at the Hilton (ADA compliant); for other accommodations, please see below. For participants who are financially supported by the organizers, please review your emails for information on coordinated rides. For others, please note that taxis are available, and typically charge USD $25 to the Hilton.

Roundtables Location

All events associated with the Roundtables (except the reception) will take place at the Hilton, in the “Needham Ballroom 3” as well as “Peninsula” conference rooms. Signs for our event – “D.A.T.A. Roundtables” – will be placed at the entrance and around the hotel. Free wifi will be provided and information to login will be given upon check-in to the Roundtables. Please find the table outside of the Needham Ballroom 3 upon arrival (starting at 8am on the 15th) to check-in and pick up your Welcome Packet.

Conference Reception: September 15th

The reception will take place at the US Ambassador’s residence from 6:30 – 8:30 on Thursday, September 15th. Please review your email, as the embassy will reach out with pertinent information to RSVP – including passport information. Filling out this email is crucial to attend. The organizers will secure bus transportation from the Hilton to the reception, and back again. If you cannot make a bus, taxis are available and the residence is about a 12-minute drive from the Hilton.

Social Media Rules and Safety Guidelines

Please note we have suggested social media messaging - for LinkedIn, Twitter, and Instagram – which will be disseminated to all participants soon. The organizers will also send policies to protect the safety and anonymity of those who do not want to be posted on social media.

To ensure our Roundtables and overall event promotes the safety, empowerment, respect, and dignity of all participants, the organizers will also send out a document with policies to prohibit discrimination and harassment.
